About TranscriptG

TranscriptG is a free web tool that turns audio and video into text, converts subtitle files (SRT, VTT, JSON, and TXT), translates transcripts and subtitles, and summarizes spoken content using modern AI models. No account creation or sign-up is required.

Why It Exists

I built TranscriptG to give students, video creators, journalists, and developers a straightforward, free, no-login way to get transcripts, subtitles, translations, and summaries without installing desktop software or dealing with subscription paywalls.

How It Works

When you upload an audio or video file or submit a YouTube link, the data is sent securely to our application server and processed using Google's Gemini models. The model analyzes the speech to generate timestamps, transcripts, translations, or summaries, which are returned directly to your browser.

Limits and Accuracy

AI speech recognition produces strong results on clear speech, but output can contain mistakes—particularly with heavy background noise, rapid overlapping dialogue, regional accents, or specialized technical and medical terminology. Always review and verify important transcripts before publishing them or relying on them for legal, official, or medical purposes.
